Frugivore Recipe: Red Cabbage Salad

Cabbage can be a bit harsh on the stomach. Nonetheless, it can be a valuable addition to your raw vegan or frugivore diet in the wintertime. We can prepare and pre-digest it with the acids in lime:

Cut the cabbage into fine slices.

Add:

  • a pinch of sea salt to taste
  • the juice of a lime
  • Orange juice or celery juice
  • lucuma powder or coconut sugar

“Massage” the ingredients into the cabbage with your hands and let it sit for an hour or more. Use the soaked cabbage as a stand-alone salad (garnished with citrus slices or sweet oranges), or add it to your salad bowl. Enjoy the benefits of your easy-to-digest and tasty cabbage!
