The „simple is best“ smoothie does not really need a recipe. Just blend a small pack of frozen strawberries (100-150 grams) with two very ripe bananas. Finish.
Why did I choose frozen strawberries for this fruit-only „milkshake“? Because frozen ones are riper and tastier. Strawberries are only harvested ripely if they are being frozen – or if you are lucky enough to pick them yourself. The ones they transport freshly are harvested underripe and are acidic.
The shake with ripe frozen strawberries really does taste like those strawberries we ate back in the 90ies – sweet, strawberry tasty with only a slight acidic touch!
